Russia’s invasion unfolded in late February has caused catastrophic impacts on Ukraine.

Thousands of civilians including children and the elderly and Ukrainian soldiers have been killed. Residential buildings, shopping malls, public facilities and hospitals have been destroyed by Russian missiles and shelling.

However, Ukrainian soldiers have persisted in their fight against the Russian forces while people have taken a positive approach to carry on their lives, even with the pain of losing their loved ones.

These photos taken from March throughout July demonstrate the terror, consequences and losses of the war, and how Ukrainians withstand the invasion with unity, wisdom, bravery, persistence and altruism.
